Great Dog Rescue New England Adoption Party

Brian and I adopted Ellis through GDRNE just over three years ago, so when I originally saw the insta post where GDRNE was looking for a photographer for their adoption party, I was super jazzed! Until I realized it was the same weekend as my soon-to-be-sister-in-law’s bachelorette party… Then, unfortunately, a hurricane prevented us from getting on flights to New Orleans on Friday, so I was around to do it after all.

My friend Jane and I drove up to Salem Sunday morning and spent a couple hours petting dogs. It was honestly a dream come true. If you’re considering getting a dog, Great Dog Rescue New England should be at the top of your list to check out! They vet all applicants for suitability and make sure potential adopters are aware of everything that comes with owning a dog. Honestly the adoption application reminded me of a college application… it was that thorough. Anyway, we are so happy we ended up with our Tennessee hound mix and I’m hopeful these photos help many other dogs find their forever homes, too. Enjoy!
